The Dinky Doors Tour
So… you’d like to go on a quest to find all our Dinky Doors in Cambridge? A quest full of intrigue, mystery, shenanigans and er… cute little Dinky Doors? Well, that sounds like an excellent decision.

There are two ways to go on the tour.
1
The first way is with our physical printed version. We’ll send it to you in the post to arrive in a day or two. With this version, you’ll plot the coordinates of the doors on a big paper map to plan your route. There are cards for each door stuffed full of information and dinky facts and questions to answer. It’s a really fun way to find the doors and arguably more fun than staring at your phone.
2
The second way is to explore with our online tour, using just your phone. Because it’s online you don’t have to wait for it to arrive by post and, with no postage or printing costs, it’s a little cheaper. You’ll use Google Maps’ directions to find the doors, which is perhaps a little less tactile than the printed version, but still fun. Being online though, you can watch the videos we’ve made for the doors, as well as being able to download pictures for colouring in too!

FAQs
How many doors are on the tour?
15 currently. As we add new doors, the tours get updated so you’ll always know where to find them.
What exactly am I buying?
If you’re buying the online version, your one-off payment creates an account on the Dinky Doors website, giving you exclusive access to a TOP SECRET private ‘membership’ area. This is where you’ll have access to all of the tour content. We’ve made it this way so we can easily provide an online version without you needing to install an app. It also means that as we make and install new doors, you’ll know where they are, at no extra cost.
Is the tour wheelchair friendly?
Mostly, yes. Whilst two are on the edges of grassy fields, all the others are found on easily-accessible public pavements.
How long does the tour take?
That depends on how many you want to see and how much walking you’d like to do. Most of the doors are in central Cambridge with some being further afield. You can easily see half of them in around an hour or so. For the others we suggest a bike.
A full tour without any stops might take 2-3 hours
A leisurely full tour, might take around 4-5 hours depending on how much ice cream you have.
You needn’t discover them all in one go - explore at your own pace.
I came via Trip Advisor, do I need to pay again?
No, you should have a discount code to apply that will make the tour free. Just enter it when you create your account.
Sounds great, but do I have to pay?
Maybe not…
All the doors are publicly available and some observant people might find them without needing our tour. We made the tour so that we can share their background story, divulge some facts about them and make it a bit of a game. It’s the most-fun way to discover them all.
Oh… and we’d be lying if we said that they didn’t take us a lot of time, effort and materials to make and maintain. By buying the tour, you’re supporting our mission to *SAVE THE WORLD* and making the world a little bit more delightful.
